Every breath we take together helps protect Africa's wild animals.

An initiative by Breathe With Rosie, raising funds and awareness for African Wildlife Vets: a team of veterinarians working on the frontlines of wildlife conservation in South Africa.

Why I Started Breathe for Wildlife

I've loved animals for as long as I can remember.

When I was 22, I was living in Australia and decided to travel to a small animal sanctuary in Sangklaburi, Northern Thailand. It was there, surrounded by rescued animals, that something clicked. For the first time, I experienced what it felt like to dedicate my life to caring for those who couldn't ask for help themselves.

When I returned to Australia, I enrolled in veterinary nursing.

What followed was more than six years working as a veterinary nurse across Australia, New Zealand and Sweden. I cared for everything from puppies taking their first breath, to elderly pets saying their final goodbye. I worked with native wildlife, injured animals and countless families who loved their animals as deeply as any family member.

Those years shaped me profoundly.

Being a veterinary nurse wasn't simply my profession, it became part of who I was.

Life eventually took me in a direction I never expected.

I discovered breathwork.

What started as something deeply personal slowly became my life's work. I founded Breathe With Rosie and found purpose in helping people reconnect with themselves through their breath.

But one feeling never left me.

I missed helping animals.

For years I carried the quiet feeling that there had to be a way to bring these two parts of my life together: the work I do today and the work that first taught me what it means to care for another living being.

Breathe for Wildlife was born.

Not as a one-time fundraiser, but as a long-term commitment.

A way for every breathwork class, every event and every person who joins this community to become part of something bigger than ourselves.

About African Wildlife Vets

I've chosen to support African Wildlife Vets because they work where it matters most: on the ground, responding to wild animals in crisis across South Africa.

Founded in 2017 by Kate Church, Dr Pete Goodman, and Dr Dave Cooper, African Wildlife Vets is a registered non-profit veterinary practice dedicated to the conservation of threatened species through hands-on veterinary care.

Their work includes:

  • Emergency response: treating animals injured by snares, gunshot wounds, and poisoning

  • Rhino dehorning: a preventative measure to reduce poaching

  • Collaring and monitoring: tracking elephants, rhinos, and other species to support conservation research and anti-poaching efforts

  • Rescuing rhino orphans: providing veterinary care and support for calves left behind after poaching

  • Relocation and disease control: helping maintain healthy, balanced wildlife populations

In the 2024–2025 year alone, African Wildlife Vets supported 157 veterinary operations and treated over 1,000 animals across 18 different species, work made possible entirely through donations and community support like this one.

You can learn more about their work at africanwildlifevets.org.

How This Works

Breathe for Wildlife is an ongoing initiative, not a one-time event. My goal is to build a long-term bridge between the breathwork community and wildlife conservation, one breath and one event at a time.

Three signature events each year. Every gathering weaves together a personal talk on conservation and Rosanna's journey, an immersive guided breathwork experience set to a cinematic nature soundscape that makes you feel as though you've stepped into the wild itself, live sound healing, and time to connect as a community afterward. Each event is unique, featuring different guest facilitators, musicians and experiences.

Every ticket sold goes directly to African Wildlife Vets.

Ongoing giving. 10% of the proceeds from my regular weekly Monday breathwork sessions are also donated to this campaign, so the impact continues between events too.

Give what you can. At every event, you'll find donation QR codes if you'd like to contribute beyond your ticket.

My hope is that Breathe for Wildlife grows into a community where every breath, every event, and every donation adds up to real, lasting protection for the wildlife we share this planet with.

Help Us Reach Our Goal

Together, we're raising 100,000 SEK for African Wildlife Vets.

Every contribution, big or small, goes directly toward emergency veterinary care, life-saving equipment, and critical conservation work in the field

The Impact of Your Support:

African Wildlife Vets works on a first-come, first-served basis to respond to whatever emergency comes through the door, which means flexible funding saves lives.

Your donation helps fund:

  • Emergency callouts for snared, injured, or poisoned animals

  • Rhino dehorning to reduce poaching risk

  • Collaring and monitoring equipment for elephants and rhinos

  • Feed and support for rescued rhino orphans

  • Helicopter and veterinary costs for large-scale operations

Ways to Get Involved

Be Part of the Journey

This project is only just beginning.

Over the coming years I'll be sharing stories from the field, fundraising updates, rescue operations, conservation projects and, next year, my own journey visiting African Wildlife Vets in South Africa.

I hope you'll be part of it.

I believe most people want to make a difference, they just need a meaningful way to do it.

My hope is that Breathe for Wildlife becomes a community where every breath contributes to protecting the wildlife we all share this planet with.
