Science-Backed Benefits of Breathwork
Modern research confirms what ancient traditions have practiced for centuries:
the way you breathe directly shapes your body, mind, and emotions.
Reduce Stress
& Anxiety
Improve Focus
& Performance
Support Emotional Release
Boost Recovery
& Immunity
Better Sleep Quality
Breathwork is more than just breathing deeply — it’s a scientifically supported practice with powerful effects on both body and mind. Controlled breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, lowering cortisol and promoting calm. It increases oxygen flow and regulates CO₂ tolerance, enhancing focus, stamina, and resilience to stress.
Breathwork also supports emotional release, helping to process and let go of stored tension while improving psychological well-being. Over time, consistent practice strengthens autonomic regulation, aiding recovery, boosting immune function, and improving sleep quality through deeper, more restorative rest.
About Me
I'm Rosanna — certified breathwork facilitator, athletic breath coach, and yoga teacher. I have extensive experience coaching diverse individuals, including corporate groups and athletes. I guide clients through breathwork techniques to enhance physical performance, manage stress, and improve well-being.
I also host talks on stress management and mindset, highlighting breathwork's power for reducing stress and enhancing mental clarity. My unique approach is a blend of firmness coaching and soft touch, fostering a supportive yet challenging approach that promotes personal growth and resilience.

That’s how many breaths you take every single day. Why don't we make them count?
5min
Just 5 min of breathwork / day has been clinically shown to lower anxiety, improve mood, and regulate the nervous system. (Stanford, 2023)
62%
On average, 62% of people across 31 countries say they’ve felt stressed enough to impact their daily life at least once within the past year.
(Ipsos Global Report, “World Mental Health Day 2024)
8.6mmHg
A 2024 study showed that just 2 min of slow, deep breathing can reduce systolic blood pressure by 8.6 mmHg and diastolic by 4.9 mmHg in individuals with hypertension.

In November 2025, I was invited to Yale University’s Jackson School of Global Affairs to teach breathwork to the World Fellows — a group of emerging global leaders from across the world.
I delivered:
-
A scientific lecture on stress physiology, the breath, and human performance
-
Two guided breathwork experiences, helping the Fellows move from theory into direct, embodied understanding
-
Practical tools for emotional regulation, focus, and resilience in high-pressure environments
The World Fellows include diplomats, founders, activists, policymakers, and innovators — all committed to shaping meaningful global change. Guiding them through this work was both humbling and powerful. Many experienced breathwork for the first time, discovering clarity, release, and a deeper sense of internal calm.
This experience strengthened my mission: to make breathwork accessible, research-based, and a trusted tool for people working in demanding roles and purpose-driven environments.
And in a place as globally influential as Yale, this work helped breathwork take one more step toward being understood, respected, and integrated in academic and scientific environments.
"An amazing experience which left me feeling relaxed and motivated."
Emma Sky, Director of Yale International Leadership Center

In December 2024, me and my dear friend and colleague Roshi were invited to host a talk about breathwork on the Nobel Prize stage during The Nobel Prize Dialogue – The Future of Health at the Waterfront Congress Centre in Stockholm.
Standing in front of Nobel laureates, scientists, teachers, athletes, and innovators was humbling beyond words. Placing breathwork on such a powerful, science-based platform and sharing it live on SVT, was a reminder of how universal the need for pause, connection, and resilience truly is.
Be like the Nobel Prize and lead the way.
By including breathwork in your program, retreat, or large-scale event, you give participants more than just a break — you create a profound moment of presence, focus, and connection. The result? A more impactful experience, an inspired audience, and an event that people will truly remember.

"Thank you for a fantastic breathwork session with 1000 colleagues on our conference. Rosanna is very professional and a great instructor. Very interesting and relieving experience. So cool to learn some of the science behind it to."
